I'm Popeye the Sailor Man

When I was a little kid, my favorite thing in the world was to spend my whole day at my Grandparent's place. Yepp..just like they say, when mommy says no, ask grandma.

My grandpa owned this little Popeye and Olive figurenes that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to play with... It was so flexible that we can bend them into any forms we like. Besides, Popeye was like..my childhood hero!! My grandpa knows that I loved it so much, that he gave it to me as my wedding gift last year... :) How sweet! :)

So last week, suddenly missing them so much, I figured to take a picture of Ethan with these little figurenes and send them to our Gramps in Indo...

Just to let them know...
"We miss u so much, and you are always in our prayers!!!"

Ayam Ayam....

Our baby just said his first word last week,
Nope it was not dada or mommy...
We were beaten by world's biggest amusement: FOOD.

Yep, Ethan first word, was nothing more or less, but.... AYAM!!!!
(which means chicken in Indonesian)

So he yawned...so he let out this long "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"
and when he closed his mouth, his closing statement was "Yam"

So there we go.."Ayam"
We were officially beaten by a chicken! -.-"

Love Fools

Spending an afternoon with my boy...
His fave. song so far is "Lord You are Good".
He'll laugh and kick in excitement everytime that song plays
He loved it since he was in my belly, he literally kicked everytime Martin played that Israel song.

During some songs he doesn't really like (you gotta check out his face! lol.)
During some songs he really really like.

Superbowl Sunday

So yesterday we went to Adam's for Ethan's first Superbowl Sunday. Besides the fact that Ethan sleeps for the whole first half, and the Cardinals, the underdog team that we thought would win another Cinderella story just like Giants last year, lost to the Mighty Steelers...it was really really fun.

Thank u Suguru, Derrick, Alex, Buntie for all the BBQ food (we still owe buntel $6) T_T
Thanks Adam for letting us trash ur place,
Thanks for all the girl talks in the corner of the couch n make those loud shouts bearable :P
We'd do it all over again...=)

Ethan joining the hommies :P
The two lovely ladiesssss
E enjoying himself in the crowd
Tim hura2 :P THANK U GUYS!!!!

Eniweii, before the first half ends, something really2 bizarre happened. Cardinals was 1st and few yards away from goal with 18 seconds left on the clock...All of us hopefuls were murmuring: "There's no way they're not gonna touchdown"However, Warner got fooled, Harrison was the man who turned the game upside down. As Warner threw the ball towards a receiver in goal, (AHHH THEY WERE THAT CLOSE!!!!)...Harrison from Steelers intercepted, stole the ball, and run the other way FOR THE WHOLE 100 YARDS FOR TOUCHDOWN for the Steelers!!!! Not even that Fitzgerald guy could stop him on the way...

James Harrison ran from end to end in a Big Superbowl Game...which officially proves to the world that day, that fat men can run.

How Steelers stole the game

The point is... somehow it got me thinking,
How many of the Spiritual Giants in the world, they have worked their salvation like crazy and almost reach the finish line... and just a single wrong step, or a tiny miscalculation few yards from the goal, can open up a crack in their lives for the devil to steal everything away. Just a single wrong step!!! It can cause the devil to run away with your salvation, your ministry, your integrity, your live....and TOUCHDOWN!! There...he's taken victory away from you...all the things you have worked on your whole life. He'll grin at you at the end of the field...and smirk, saying, you think you've won your battle? Think again.

hmm... interesting eh?

That's why in 1 Peter 5:8 it said.."Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." :) Remember that he studies your movement and strategy 24/7 and whenever he reads a tiny crack of weakness...he'll attack.

Never be satisfied, and don't put a smile on your face, until you actually reach the finish line and score in the Kingdom of God. You don't want to be like those Israelites.. They packed their belongings, left Egypt, and went on a loong road trip by foot for 40 years, yet most of them couldn't make it to Promise Land. Before we actually enter our Promise Land, we can't actually sit back, grab our remote control, and flip channels, saying: "Oh, I've arrived. I came out of Egypt, I'm saved".

Well, tell u what..You're not, not until you reach the finish line. Until you enter your Promised land, reaching your ultimate goal and calling in life. The game's not finished until you actually win. It's not how you start that matters...it's how you end.

So wake up, be alert...
it's game time!! :)
